ECOSOC SPECIAL EVENT
The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), held a special event, “Engaging philanthropy to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment”, organized by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the United Nations Office for Partnerships (UNOP) in collaboration with the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) and the United Nations Fund for Women (UNIFEM) on 22 February 2010, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the United Nations Headquarters, New York City. The programme took place on International Corporate Philanthropy Day in the United States. On behalf of Kidsparliament Erol User, Founder, made a speech on the role of women in the society de facto kids.
Kids Parliament was formally introduced and took on the Millennium Development Goal Number 2 - Achieve universal primary education and Goal Number 3 - Promote gender equality and empower women.

Kids' Programs
We will set up a variety of programs for kids. These will include an Arts Program, an Educational Program, a Music Program, an Entrepreneurship Program and an Exchange Program.
Kids' Opinion
By using the Mega Community and Best-In-Class content, we will determine an overall Kids' Opinion on key topics and provide support to make this opinion heard in governments and NGO's.
Kids' Governance
We will do our utmost entrust the Kids Parliament with self-governance via voting and representation.
