Kids Parliament Annual Art Competition 2011

Your commitment to a better future!

Meet the panel of judges

All students are invited to participate in the 1st Annual Kids Parliament Art competition.

Kids: Use your imagination to create a painting that reflects the theme, "The World We Want to Live In."

Kids Parliament is totally committed to our mission of building a community where children can meet, exchange ideas, understand and respect one another’s opinions, and experience multicultural views in a moderated and peaceful way. Our competition theme, "The World We Want to Live In," invites children from around the world to create and exchange ideas and cultures via art forms. Children with their creative expression can help pursue a more peaceful, just and compassionate world.

The competition is divided into three age groups:  6-8 yrs, 9-11 yrs and 12-16 yrs.  The winners of each age group will have their paintings submitted to the Kids Parliament International Art Competition 2011. Paintings will be displayed in an art gallery along with the winning entries from other countries; a panel of judges will choose the overall winner of each age group.

Prizes: There is a $500USD cash prize for the first place winner of each age group in the international competition. Additional prizes include various art materials, certificates of participation as well as showcasing in the Kids Parliament Online Art Gallery.

Teachers, parents and after-school art program instructors please inform us if your children are interested in participating at info@kidsparliament.org. We will send you the details of the competition.

-The Kids Parliament Team

To improve the lives of severely disabled children by giving them alternative ways of keeping in touch and helping them take part in the day to day activities most of us take for granted.

To integrate with disabled support centres by helping create an educational and comfortable environment for disabled children, where they feel safe, when they have a short break from their family.

To create Snoezelen rooms for disabled children in care home centers. The Snoezelen room is a therapeutic and recreational room beneficial to people with sensory, cognitive and physical disabilities.

We will set up a variety of programs for kids. These will include an Arts Program, an Educational Program, a Music Program, an Entrepreneurship Program and an Exchange Program.

Various activities and events aligned with our top four priorities.
